Monmouth Museum of Art, History and Science
Located on the Brookdale Community College campus, Monmouth Museum offers innovative, changing exhibits focusing on art, natural sciences, and cultural history for all ages. There’s a children’s Wonder Wing for kids under 6 years and the Becker STEAM Wing for kids ages 6 and up.

Admission

One of the most interesting exhibits is The Cardboard Show, which features works made from cardboard. It was created by three Asbury Park artists: Jason Stumpf, Bradley Hoffer, and Porkchop. The pieces are very large and incredibly detailed.

Food
Located on the Brookdale Community College campus, the Monmouth Museum provides educational programs and exhibitions designed in response to the needs of our immediate and evolving society. Founded in 1963, its mission is to present activities that enhance the understanding and appreciation of cultural, scientific, and artistic endeavors.
Visitors are invited to experience the intersection of art and food at the Museum’s holiday exhibition Fabulous Food. The exhibit reveals how, regardless of religion, politics, socioeconomic status, and race, family and friends come together to create and partake in traditional holiday meals and social activities.
The Museum’s Main Gallery and Nilson Gallery host a wide variety of art in all media. In addition, children have exciting learning experiences in the Dorothy V. Morehouse Wonder Wing and Becker Children’s Wing.

The Museum was founded over 54 years ago as a “Museum of Ideas” and presents changing art, history, and science exhibitions to educate and entertain. The main gallery and Nilson Gallery feature a variety of art in all media, while the Dorothy V. Morehouse Wonder Wing and Becker Children’s Wing offer interactive learning experiences for visitors of all ages.
Each year mid-November through January, club members help set up and maintain this large model train layout that runs continuously. This display is free with museum admission. The Monmouth Museum is a great place to take your children for a day of learning and fun. The museum is spread over an area of 15000 square feet and has two children’s wings and galleries that showcase artists’ works. It also has a beautiful garden and a kid’s play area.
