There are 14 miles of multiple use trails (4.9 miles paved), a fishing lake for canoes/kayaks and electric-powered boats, tennis courts, group picnic facilities, a craft center, Visitor’s Center, and an off-leash dog area.

The trails at Thompson Park are quite varied and include a variety of terrain. Some are very easy, and others are more challenging.

Located in the Lincroft section of Monmouth County, Thompson Park offers an extensive network of walking and running trails. It is also home to a museum with interesting artifacts from Geraldine Thompson’s grand colonial revival mansion.

Dog Park

The center also hosts a number of educational events including the ever-popular drop-in geocaching program, which is perfect for families looking to have a little fun together. The visitor’s center also has a small gift shop and a bicycle repair station for when you need to get back on the road. The Monmouth County Parks System’s Volunteer Trails Team will be offering a free training workshop at the center on March 16 from 10 am to 12 pm.

Playground
