On a blisteringly hot day in June 1778, the land of Monmouth Battlefield State Park was the site of one of the most important battles of the Revolutionary War. Now a historic park, visitors can relive the history of that day by hiking, picnicking, and touring restored 18th-century farmhouses.

The park preserves a rural eighteenth-century landscape of orchards, fields, woods, and wetlands. Its miles of trails are perfect for hiking, horseback riding, and picnicking.

There are four restored Revolutionary War farmhouses here, including the Craig House. Open Sundays, kids can tour this restored family farm and learn what life was like for the Craigs during that time.

There’s also iPlay America, an indoor amusement park that offers rides and games for the whole family to enjoy. iPlay America features an array of fun attractions, from a go-kart track to a laser arena and arcade. Plus, there are several food options to satisfy all appetites.
